Holroyd Musical and Dramatic Society

HMDS is where Western Sydney comes to create, perform and belong. For more than 55 years, Holroyd Musical & Dramatic Society has brought people together through bold, entertaining community theatre. From performers and musicians to directors, designers, crew and volunteers

Big shows. New talent. Great people. One incredible community. Since 1971, Holroyd Musical & Dramatic Society (HMDS) has been bringing live theatre to Western Sydney and creating a place where people can perform, create, learn and belong. For more than 55 years, HMDS has produced musicals, plays and theatrical experiences while giving generations of performers, musicians, directors, choreographers, designers, technicians and volunteers the opportunity to bring stories to life. But HMDS is about more than putting on a show. We’re a community built around creativity, collaboration and opportunity. Whether you're stepping onto the stage for the first time, developing your skills behind the scenes, taking on a creative leadership role or simply looking for your people, there’s a place for you at HMDS. Through productions, workshops, development opportunities and community initiatives, we’re committed to growing the next generation of Western Sydney theatre-makers while continuing to deliver exciting, accessible live theatre for our audiences. Come for the show. Stay for the community.
