Privacy Policy
Who we are
StageCue is the community theatre platform at https://stagecue.au, operated by Courtney George Cassar as an individual/sole trader. In this policy, “StageCue”, “we” and “us” refer to that operator. Contact us at contact@stagecue.com.au. This policy explains how we handle personal information during the free beta.
Information we collect
We collect information needed to operate StageCue, including:
- account details such as your name, email address, account identifier, profile image and login information
- society details, committee names and roles, invitations, and contact details submitted by authorised representatives
- production, audition, venue and shared-asset information
- uploaded logos, posters and photographs
- policy-agreement versions and acceptance times, permissions, approvals, content revisions, moderation records, account activity and security information, including IP addresses used to limit repeated authentication attempts; and enquiries, support correspondence and voluntary beta feedback
How we collect information
We collect information directly when you register, use account or editing tools, upload material, contact us or provide feedback. We may receive information from a society representative who invites you or supplies authorised company content. Technical information is generated when your browser requests the website. You can browse public listings without an account. We need the requested account and verification information to provide editing access; you may choose not to provide it and continue browsing.
How we use information
We use information to operate and verify accounts, manage society access, publish listings, deliver website features, send account and service messages, respond to enquiries, review beta feedback, moderate content and protect the service. We do not sell personal information. Verification, password-reset and administrative messages are separate from promotional subscriptions; creating an account does not enrol you in a marketing mailing list.
Public information
Published society, committee, production, audition, venue and asset information may be visible to anyone, appear in search results, and be copied or cached by others. Representatives must have permission to publish identifiable names, images and contact details. Review contact visibility and submitted material before publishing. Draft entries are not displayed publicly, but authorised users and administrators may access them as needed. A login email is not made public simply because someone creates an account.
Service providers
We use technical providers to operate StageCue, including Supabase for authentication, Cloudflare for application infrastructure, database storage and uploaded media, and the managed OpenAI Sites publishing environment. Email providers handle messages sent to and from us. Authorised administrators, society editors and service providers may access information to the extent needed for their roles. We may also disclose information with your permission or where required or authorised by law. External providers have their own privacy terms.
Browser storage and embedded services
StageCue uses session cookies and browser storage for sign-in, security and interface preferences, such as calendar settings and the selected society. Browser storage may include basic account details; sign out on shared devices. You can manage cookies and storage in your browser, although blocking or deleting essential items may prevent sign-in or reset preferences.
Pages may load maps from Google Maps or OpenStreetMap, fonts from Google Fonts, and website libraries from content delivery networks. Your browser connects to those providers and may disclose your IP address, browser details and the page or resource requested. Those providers may use their own cookies and privacy settings. External ticketing, audition, social-media and other linked sites have their own privacy practices.
Anonymous engagement and service health
When collection is enabled, StageCue records public page and listing views, outbound-link and enquiry actions, broad referral categories, layout sizes and search-result count ranges. We also record broad sign-in categories (public, signed-in or unknown) for public browsing and count successful browser login actions. Restoring an existing session does not count as another login. These categories are not linked to an account identity and do not measure unique people. Private company workspaces are not tracked. These events do not contain account identifiers, IP addresses or IP hashes, browser fingerprints, contact details, search text, destination addresses or referrer URLs. Each event has a random retry token that identifies that event only. The collector does not use visitor cookies or a persistent visitor identifier. Hosting and external-service providers may separately process request information as described elsewhere in this policy.
Detailed engagement events are normally retained for 30 days. Anonymous daily and monthly counts, stable company/listing attribution and collection-coverage records are retained for long-term reporting, with periodic review. Only authorised StageCue platform administrators can view analytics and service-health reports; company-facing analytics is disabled. Sanitised operational failures are retained for 30 days, health samples for 90 days and incident summaries for about 13 months. Aggregate backups are private and retained for 35 days. Retention depends on the scheduled maintenance service; overdue maintenance is shown to administrators and must be addressed.
Overseas processing
Our providers operate internationally, so personal information may be stored, processed or accessed outside Australia. Locations depend on the provider and service configuration. Contact contact@stagecue.com.au for available information about the providers and locations relevant to your information.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect information through authentication, access permissions and operational security controls. No online service is completely secure. We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide StageCue, manage access, respond to requests, resolve disputes, protect the service or meet legal obligations. Account closure or removal of a public listing does not necessarily delete all revisions, security records, correspondence or backup copies immediately. We limit continuing use to the reasons for retaining those records.
Access, correction, removal and complaints
Email contact@stagecue.com.au to request access to, correction of or removal of personal information, or to make a privacy complaint. Identify the information or listing involved. We may ask for the minimum information reasonably needed to verify identity or authority. We will consider the request, respond within a reasonable time, and explain any refusal or necessary delay. Removal from StageCue does not automatically remove copies held by search engines or other third parties.
Policy updates and contact
We will acknowledge privacy complaints and work with you to resolve them. If the Privacy Act 1988 applies to the matter and you remain dissatisfied, you may be able to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at https://www.oaic.gov.au. We may update this policy to reflect changes to StageCue, publish the current version and date, and give appropriate notice of material changes. Questions: contact@stagecue.com.au.
